Objective
Listening, learning and composing Music has been my passion for a long time now. I also write about music in my personal blog. When passion becomes profession, we don’t have to work anymore in our life. I don’t want to work anymore. At the time when illegal music streaming and downloading has become just a normal thing to do without feeling guilty, it is so heartening to see a legal online music portal and I just want to be a part of its growth.

Have been working in software industry for past 3 years as a software developer. CTS (Cognizant Technology Solutions), TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) are the multi national companies for which I worked for and currently working for Mind Tree Consultancy Services, Bangalore.

Music and Me

This article which I recently wrote for celebrating A.R.Rahman’s completion of 15 years in film music, I have elaborated about how I was slowly drawn towards music and Rahman’s music in general, pretty much sums up how I turned mad about music.

In 2003, I started writing music reviews for a consumer product reviewing site called mouthshut.com. My frequent reviews and the subsequent readership it got made them to put me in their ‘Hall of Fame’ list.

In 2005, I started my own music blog (Yours Musically) where I posted music reviews regularly. Have written around 300 articles so far which includes reviews on Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam film soundtracks, non-film Hindi and Tamil pop albums and instrumental albums.

I was also learning to play western classical music in Piano for a while. Have started composing my music and already published few music pieces of mine in another blog of mine (Yours Musically).

The music I composed and arranged for the mute Marudhanayagam trailer won wide admiration and appreciation after which so many of them came up with their own version of the trailer music and of course most of them had better music than mine.

For the first time in Indian blogosphere, it was in my blog, the music reviews were published as an audio in which I vocally review the soundtrack with songs from the movie playing in the background.

I am interested in background scores of film as much as the songs. I have done some thorough research and analysis on various background scores in films. Have written articles on background scores of Indian movies in an online magazine called TFM page magazine.
